Betta Fish: How much of these do I need to feed my Betta?

Please see attached image. This is the food I've been feeding my previous betta. I originally did this according to the package instructions (feed 2/3 times a day untill the fish stops eating or untill 5 min have passed, I did this but only once a day). Sadly my previous betta died and I've been wondering if I overfed him.

I added a ruler for scale. Can you guys tell me how much I should be feeding him? Thanks in advance!
