I know most people don’t care about pest snails but I’d like to keep this one alive! My nitrites are super high right now because I’m at the end of cycling my tank, ammonia is zero. I got plants today to help lower nitrates and this guy showed up. Not sure what type it is, it is literally about 1mm in size, I can barely see it with the naked eye and had a hard time getting my phone to focus.

If there are more snails in the tank, it should help with the cycling process!

Personally i think it’s best to remove them while you can. You can add pink ramshorns or shrimp if you want to have the same effect as bladder snails without bladder snails.
You can have very large populations even without overfeeding. Generally shrimp sticks algae wafers, vegetables etc if fed will also feed the snails.
However if you’re new to the hobby and don’t intend to buy shrimp or ramshorns or something then id keep the bladder.
