This is my girl. She doesn’t have a name yet (bc I’m scared she’s gonna die suddenly right after I name her). She’s allegedly a crowntail (not sure yet) and I think she might be on the younger side considering just how small she was compared to other females I saw. She also has trouble eating the food (working on getting smaller pellets for her). I’ve had her for four days now, feeding her 1 pellet in the morning and 1 at night. Is she looking a little more pink and like… shimmery to you guys? Or am I just really hoping she’s improving because I’m scared shes gonna die out of nowhere like my last boy.

Improving? I think she is a baby as well. She should be able to eat frozen baby brine shrimp fine. I would try crushing the pellets between your fingers. She definitely needs more than 2 pellets a day
I definitely think so! Can’t wait to see how she’s doing in a month!
She definitely is a crowntail and looks better in the bottom pic.
I would strongly caution against keeping bettas in tanks with dragon rock. It’s sharp and can rip their fins and has holes they can get stuck in.
