I’ve recently cycled a 40 gallon tank for my opaline gourami (giannis) after he became more and more aggressive towards the giant danios/guppies in my 20 gallon. I’ve got shrimps, snails, and one zebra danio from the cycling process I can’t get out that he won’t stop chasing. It seems like anything that moves giannis goes after, and I’m wondering if you have any advice on what to add to make this a sustainable/lively aquarium. Thank you/merci pour any advice !!

One GIANT snail.
That’s it.
Snail.
I also have an overly aggressive gold gourami. He literally can’t live with anything except snails, and even then, he still picks at them from time to time. You can try stuffing the tank with tall plants and loading it with tannins until he can’t see anything. That actually worked for me… until the day I forgot to replenish the tannins. He spotted one fish for one second and ripped off half the scales on its body ☹️
