I’m thinking the first one needs one slimmer long piece with it. This is going to be for bichir and ropefish. It’s not done or close. I need more sand still. (Sand example in the left corner) any suggestions I’m open to hear them!

    If you can’t combine it and make it work, I enjoy the first one on the left side. I’m biased, I really enjoy river-scapes with one side of the tank mostly clear space and one side heavily dark green planted

    If you can only pick one has to be the second, the first needs more wood to go with it. But I reckon a combo is probably better as someone else mentioned.

    If you can’t fit both pieces in together, then my vote is for number two. A curtain of val and corkscrew val would look cool across the back. Maybe a red tiger lotus or dwarf water lily in one of the back corners. I would be tempted to leave the front open so you can see the driftwood. Epiphytes attached to the wood would also work.
