😭

I’ve been using the system since late September/ early October. I just bought a replacement fluval co2 canister to use with the fluval co2 system back on nov28th. I turn it off and on every day/night and watch the bubble counter. When I got back to work I noticed my indicator was yellow and I looked in to see everything dead. The tank was completely empty. I don’t even understand how this happens. Please if you have this system toss it! It isn’t worth it. Im so sad. I just added my shrimp and had two pregnant females. I’m SO sad. I’m going to an aquarium store to go buy a $300 micro system because I don’t want this to happen again.

  1. That’s awful.

Was this in your 15G/does the tank even need co2? I’ve always seen it as a major risk – and have 10 tank and that as basically jungle-dense with plants, using plain black gravel and no co2.

  2. Sound like the regulator went bad. Unfortunately it’s a risk you’ll have with any system. Just like any piece of equipment things can go bad, wear out, be faulty or break. Theres also obviously human mishandling and human error (I am not in any way blaming you, but I’m sure many people don’t handle, check, or clean equipment properly).

Sorry for your loss, that really sucks though.
