I think there is something very wrong… I have a Cupid cichlid, a gourami and 2 rope fish and they all look stressed and have been hiding for a while. My plant also recently died and I got some weird looking algae. I did a water test and my parameters don’t look terrible. Help I don’t want my fish to die.

If ones has died…..ammonia will jump up. Is it a new set-up, how long did the tank cycle for .
your ammonia is really high and your PH is a little low for your gourami too, it should be hanging around 7. how big is this tank?
they are probably being slowly poisoned by ammonia since all the fish you listed require 50-75gal minimum. what are your parameters exactly? you should be seeing 0 ammonia and 0 nitrites. anything above is poison.
Ropefish need a way bigger tank and no cichlid to be happy
