So this is my first big tank ~ I’ve already gotten a lot of great tips (and some trolls, pls move on if you’re not going to be helpful. There is a difference between constructive criticism and trolling) so THANK YOU to those who have helped this single momma get her two toddlers under 4’s pet fish more comfy.
My current request is the pineapple of death. Raspberry II loved to swim in and around it and hide from Tootsie, who’s a real horn dog. They are both black moors, so I know whatever I get to replace said pineapple needs to not be sharp bc bubble eyes. Can y’all give me some recommendations/links/etc about where you get your rocks so I can give her her hiding/play spot back? I want to do real since I’ve been reemed out about plastic leeching toxins etc (makes sense but damn some of y’all are just nasty about giving info in the most unhelpful ways) but I’m not sure where to begin since most places around me seem to only carry small real rock formations or plastic. And tho Raspberry II and Tootsie are small right now I anticipate they will get bigger so I want something about the size of the pineapple, which is approx 12” tall and the opening is about 5” tall and 3” wide.
Thank you! 🩵

hi, just as a side note the gravel is not the best for cories, as it’s rough and the friction can damage and wear down their barbels! if you can, try switching to black sand . if you want some colour still you can add some smooth coloured pebbles on top or they make these glow in the dark pebbles too, just not this rough gravel as it’s really not good for cories, apart from that good luck on finding the caves, maybe look into some driftwood ? i have a large piece which is shaped so it has hollows, i tied anubias to it (the goldfish can’t damage it and it’s basically no maintenance plant) , you could also try arranging two pieces of larger driftwood together to create a hollow in between, etc.
