A few days ago I unplugged my lamp for 2 days to fight algae, and accidentally unplugged the heater as well. So my water temp was at ~20°C (68°F) for 2 days.

In that time my betta, Evora, became sick. She sinks like a rock and is very inactive, she only moves to get air from the surface. Then I noticed large holes in her tail fins. I don't understand how she got them so quickly, her only tankmates are 8 Sterbai Cories and the filter is HOB set to weakest flow, so the intake shouldn't be dangerous.

I've started treating her with aquarium salt baths 2 days ago but I'm not sure about the dose, so it's on a lower side (5–8 ml in 3 liters, or 1 tablespoon per 2.5–3 gallons). So far she's not improving. Should I increase the dose?

What illness does she have, and do I need stronger medication? Also I've been fasting her for 3 days now, should I feed her? Please help me save her.

What did you turn the heater back up to? If there was a more sudden rise in temp she may be in a little shock? Do you have rougher materials near the heater? Maybe she was hanging near it for warmth and got snagged on something?
