So this fish was sold to me as a dumbo female halfmoon. I have seen an eggspot but I'm having second thoughts that she may be a he after about 2 years or so.
So did I get a HM female or is my plakat male? The ventral fins and anal fins do have me questioning now upon a second look. Hardly ever flares up so I have a hard time getting that sort of picture

Nope! Just a silly gal, males are also more on the slimmer side. Since females are a bit thicker from having eggs stored in em. if they don’t have an egg spot, then you have a male
Looks like a female with longer than average fins
