Im my, wanna be, shrimp aquarium I have a wood that extends out of the water. The idea is to have some moss or plant to grow there.
But almost one week after I set it up, h see some mold forming. What should I do?

Get your moss or plants on there

Totally normal new tank thing, especially with wood that is half in and half out of the water. That “mold” is just fungus / biofilm feeding on sugars leaching from the driftwood and it is harmless, even great food for future shrimp. You can wipe or toothbrush it off during water changes, aim a bit of flow at the waterline so it stays either properly wet or properly dry, and just let time and shrimp / snails graze it down once the tank is stocked. If the above water part keeps getting fuzzy and you hate the look, you can take the wood out, scrub it and let it fully dry, or seal just the emersed section with a fish safe water based sealant before putting it back.
