Paddy 3rd (rainbow shark) loves it when the heater comes on. Anyone else’s fish do this? And yes the water is warm enough for him, he just likes to get nice a toasty sometimes.

I’d say the opposite. If your fish are drawn to the heat source that desperately when it turns on you may be underheating your tank for the species in it. Also, if you have more of a mix, where some species prefer a cooler temp, consider switching them out to another tank.
