Hi! I recently added otocinclus catfish to my 14gal. Planted Betta aquarium. I bought 4 but one looks different than the other three, is he an otocinclus or something else? First picture is what the other three look like, more of a gray color and the second is what just the one looks like, more brown coloring. You can see them both close to each other in the last picture.

Also I am wanting to add corydoras and since it’s a 14gal. Would adding dwarf/pygmy corys be ok? I currently have my betta, a mystery snail, and the otocinclus.

i think the first one is macrospilus and the second one is vittatus. different fishies!!

  2. They both look like otocinclus to me! The brown one looks as if it has a different coloration from the others, and a bit more chunky from the rest. Id say no on the corys just because having an overstocked tank is stressful for your other animals already in the tank and it is a bit harder to maintain.
