To add to what the other commenter said, this plant has a rhizome. The rhizome is the thick horizontal part that you have on top of your substrate. You can leave it like that as long as the rhizome is completely on top of your substrate, and just bury roots. If you’d like to “replant” it, the rhizome is what you’ll glue or wedge onto/into the hardscape (a decoration, piece of driftwood or a rock). If you need to go the glue route, I recommend Flourish Glue. I got it on amazon, but any cyanoacrylate adhesive works!! You will take the plant and decor out of the tank, put a small amount of glue on the rhizome and then stick it to the desired spot!!

No! It can free float on the bottom or in cups you can get and suction to the inside!! It’ll rot if buried (*the white strands can be buried technically just not the rhizome as that’ll rot )
