Betta Fish: Meet Gary!

Full name: Gary Pla Kad Saawng

I picked what PetCo described as a "galaxy koi" male – he seemed most aware of me in his little individual container. He fluttered with energy from the get go. I've also seen lots of glow up stories here – but he's already so pretty! Just hoping his fins and body fill out a bit.

I've had him for less than a week, and improving his tank and training him have been a ton of fun! I am still working on target training – if anyone has tips for finger tracking training let me know. I'm already amazed at how quickly he has learned – and I have seen other people comment on how their betta "burps." I know it's just a nesting reflex, but it almost seems like their burps are like little happy barks … He does it whenever I stick my face over the tank :3
