sorry i know this community is probably tired of hearing from me šš but i am excited about this and i want to share it. i'm prettty unhappy with how my 30 gallon looks right now. So i replanned it and then listed out everything i want to add! If anyone sees any issues that could come up or has any suggestions for this setup i would love to hear.
Also, does anyone know any good websites for something like the large piece of driftwood i drew?

Get a hang on planter for the pothos, it can’t just be stuck in with nothing.Ā Ā
Amazon has driftwood.Ā You’ll want to buy a few pieces and look at the inches they say the pieces are, then you can see what you get.Ā Otherwise you’re going to have to go irl to a fish store that sells that stuff.Ā Ā
Etsy is another option.
I’d personally avoid guppies. They breed like crazy and if you’ll likely be overrun before you know it. Try celestial pearl danios or rainbowfish instead.
Could also use a centerpiece fish, honey gouramis are very colorful and peaceful.
One time I kept a small crayfish of some sort in a goldfish tank. I canāt remember exactly what it was.
Within 48 hours it took out a comet goldfish three times its size. Caught it by the tail fin and dragged it down.Ā
I had a piece of wood sticking out of my tank like that, and it looked super cool. But eventually, being constantly wet but also exposed to air caused the wood to rot. I found out when flies started breeding in the soft, rotten core.Ā
I’ve seen a lot of cool tanks with emerging elements, and I love the look. Just know it might not last as well.
not sure if true in general, but I personally would avoid the Assassin snail in combo with the shrimps.
i had one once and she murdered the shrimps and crayfish during molting.
For small schooling fish, I propose chili rasboras or similar. They’re tiny but they’re super outgoing and intertaining.
