

Im pretty sure that it’s a male (both pics are of the same fish), I got two of them asking for a pair but they sent me what I think is two males. I am 100% sure the other one is a male as he has deep reds and blues. Im assuming this might be a younger or maybe a less coloured up male? He is by far more dominant even with the lack of colouration, a bit of blue does come up when he is posturing to the other male.
If they are two males, I’m wondering if I can keep them together long term? They seem to display and flare at each other during feeding time but go off and ignore each other most of the time. They are in a 10 x 3 foot tank with lots of hiding space.

This is my female paradise fish. Based on their forked tails, overall bigger body shape, and implied aggression yours are definitely both male. Regardless of your tank size, it’s probably safer to just rehome one of them. Male labyrinth fish don’t tolerate each other and the paradise are among the most aggressive/territorial to their own.
