I added my betta Rosa to my 20g community tank last week, but she gorges herself on any wafers I drop in for my kuhlis. She literally looks like she’s about to pop with how bloated she gets. I did try putting her in a breeding box but she was in there for a good while at least 20 min before I took her out and she still managed to find some food and eat it. My kuhlis do take a while to eat their food because it takes a while for them to realize it’s even there which is a big part of the issue. Is there anything I can do, buy, or make so my kuhlis can eat in peace without having to put my betta in “jail” until they finish?

Feed at night when it’s lights off.
Do you only feed the loaches algae wafers? You could try a faster sinking pellet. She can’t get them all before they hit the substrate! How is she getting on in a community tank, any issues?
