Did a weekly water test yesterday and couldn’t figure out why my ammonia spiked to 8.0 PPM out of nowhere! After 50% water change and Seachem prime no change on the retest. While digging through countless form posts looking for an answer. My seven year-old daughter looks at me, then the tube and says “why is there a yellow tint on the tube” after cleaning it with a dry paper towel you can see the results back to 0PPM ammonia. Just a heads up could always be your testing equipment not actually your water parameters that is the problem!
