Idk if he's actually trying to eat them or not – that seems unusual behavior for plecos – I have many and none of the others are nearly as much of a trouble maker as he is. Is this unusual to you guys? Should I be concerned? I have had two of my larger snails (one mystery and one rabbit) end up spontaneously dead, but the others are fine?

  1. Is he aggressive and territorial towards the corydoras? He really doesnt seem to like that snail being around.

Oh, yeah bristlenose pleces hate snails. Mine was so territorial and aggressive on sight I couldn’t keep him with mystery snails anymore. He’d punt them like soccer balls and bat at them with his tail.

You should probably move the poor things to another tank before they get stressed out to death. Bristlenose plecos can be surprisingly rowdy towards other bottom dwellers especially anything else that remotely acts like another pleco (sticking to glass and rasping on surfaces).

They don’t like sharing food, some more than others will beat on competition as they see survival. Probably should move the snails out otherwise they’ll end up starving from being constantly bullied into its shell.
