So I currently have my pretty girl in a 5 gallon tank with a little snail but idk 🤷‍♀️ I don’t think she’s happy in there… she looks a bit dull in color or maybe that’s how she’s always been.
She has live plants etc but maybe she needs more room and more enrichment? I’m wanting to get a job in 2 months and so I’m wondering what should I get for her?

Should I upgrade the tank to a 20 or more? 🙂

  1. I’d love to see a 20 gal long like half full w a sponge filter and heater I would get pothos and grow them out of the tank, lots of catappa leaf and she would look so pretty on a half black sand and half white sand swirled together 😍 a bunch of anubias and floating plants would be cool too

Do you have a full scape shot of your tank? Could help give us an idea of what you’re working with. Step one I would say if possible, slowly replace the blue gravel to a nutrient rich substrate. Either a soil and sand mix or nutrient rich gravel

  3. Hey! So actually colored gravel like that isn’t recommended as it can bleed the dye into the water, messing things up. Does it have a filter? Heater? Conditioning the water right? Water perimeters?

Here is a pretty basic betta care guide!!! Everyone has there learning phase so I don’t see why you would be attacked if you’re taking the time to ask for advice. Also a 20 gallon would be perfectly fine, just as long as it’s really planted. Some bettas do get stressed out in bigger body’s of water, so do watch for some stress it really depends on the betta lol.
