Just bought a used 29 gal and this was in it. Could anybody tell me what these are? Just junk?

The first one seems like a holding container of some kind, what exactly idk. The other thing seems like its parts, like youre supposed to snap those pieces off and combine them or use them separately somehow. Im going fully off speculation. Can you not just ask the person you got the tank from?

I wondered if the first thing might be a fry cage, not the clearest pics so it’s pretty hard to tell.
Second thing similar issue – can’t see it well – possibly a rig for part of the filter or lighting system?
