Hey!! My husband and I got 6 fish a few days after we got married as a wedding gift to ourselves! We’d done research before hand and decided to get 4 of the Glo Tetras and 2 of the catfish (forgive me I don’t remember exactly what kind!) We both stare at them quite often cause we both love fish! Today we observed that 2 of our fish have these white specs all over them! I’ve seen a few things about Ich after doing some research, so we ordered a new water heater and some medicine based off of that, I’ll be taking some of our water to get a water test tomorrow as well! I just wanted some opinions from anyone who’s more experience as a fish parent than I am!! Thank you so much in advanced!!

Ick. Can possibly turn up the heater a couple degrees to kill them off. But I’m not sure if it will work if it’s this bad.
Either ich or epistylis both have different treatments.
Fyi catfish are also schooling and will eventually need larger groups.
I think more research is needed on your end
