I was thinking of adding a betta fish to this tank. I tried once but he almost consume most of my cherry shrimps and my neons feel threatened so I have to get him out and get a new tank for himself. What should I consider on choosing a new betta that can live with them? I really prefer a male betta.

Also do you think my tank has enough plants for my shrimps to hide? Is my tank heavily planted? What do you suggest?

A 10 gallon is a bit small to add a betta and neon tetras. Whether he attacks your fish and shrimp is typically dependent on the individual personality of the betta. If you had them in a bigger tank, your betta would probably be less likely to attack them if he has more space. And more space means more room for plant coverage. Your tank looks great, but I would either leave the neons and shrimp by themselves or maybe get a few more neons instead.
