I just recently moved my tanks to a new house, I am now setting back up the tanks and as I’m filling back up my 20 gallon, I see this white substance leaking out of my wood. The wood only came out of the water while moving it from tank to bucket to tank again, I’ve literally never seen this ever. I immediately took it out after I took the video but I’m really worried that it already contaminated the water if it’s bad for the tank. Does anyone have any idea what this is?? the waters is dirty because I stirred up the substrate super bad and squeezed my filter media into old tank water to better start my cycle.

If im not mistaken it’s not dangerous, and just comes out of fresh wood.
Did you boil the he wood first? Take it out and boil it now.
