Which of these 3 options work best for this soft plastic? (Texas rigged)

  1. 2 prolly? That first one’s hook is probably too big. I’d personally probably run this bait on a ned rig.

You need smaller hooks. The EWG would work if it’s smaller. Or a ned jig that is an appropriate size

  3. You may want that on an appropriately sized jig head. With the hook pointing out.

Buy weedless jig heads if you need a weedless option.

I’d also Carolina rig it or even drop shot, with a weedless circle hook facing out. It doesn’t look like a good Texas rig candidate. Maybe I don’t have a good enough imagination.

1&2 are way too big for the bait, 3 is way too small. 1&2 are going to kill the action of the bait, 3 there is absolutely no space for the bait to compress into a hook gap to facilitate a hookup.

Find the right size EWG (same style as #1) that will be 1/3 to 1/2 of the body length of the bait. 1/3 is a lot better

The first two are fine, maybe a bit big.

The last one is terrible lol its great for wacky rigs, and it looks like the mini sized wacky rigs (which work well)

I’m not a huge fan of that lure, but the first two are good in concept.
