Purchasing one for duck hunting, but would like to fly fish out of it as well. Anything I should add or make sure I do to ensure safety or comfort?

Stability-permitting, it’ll be a lot easier to cast if you stand or at least have a higher seat. Cast higher off the water = more distance. Same problem with float tubes, of course, which is one reason many tubers use 10ft rods.
