Marked NSFW just in case bro isn’t ok. But even a healthy fry at this age is barely alive, right? Anyway, I left for work this morning being the proud owner of a very fat female swordtail. I came home to a skinny swordtail and this thing wedged between two pieces of gravel. I did the math. I gently lifted the gravel off, and the fry flipped shit and then just sat there. Is bro going to die? I looked around and saw 2 more (hard to tell if it was the same one or not) slightly larger bros hiding in the plants, acting like more typical fry. They were just swimming in place and kind of pecking around at the environment. I assume they were eating.

  1. I once had a molly fry not move at all for a day or two after placing it in my growout tank. It is now a healthy full grown adult. Sometimes they make it, sometimes they dont.

  2. Idk about swordtails but my Sailfin molly fry- when they are brand new, will just sit there in the sand – it used to terrify me but eventually they get more active
