



So I recently posted asking about why my shrimp are dying. Sounds like I definitely added shrimp too early, the hardness of my water may be an issue, and my substrate may be contributing to hardness. I was told the high pH is unlikely to be an issue? As recommended, I got a liquid GH/KH test kit. Results are GH is >214.8 (14 drops to color change), and KH is 214.8. Any recommendations going forward as to distilled water, water changes, and potentially removing white substrate?

Oops, I forgot it in the spreadsheet, but nitrate was 5 today.

Did you spend any time actually researching them before deciding to commit to purchasing the shrimp?
Like how can you commit to spending that amount of money and having no knowledge of how to keep them alive
