I was in Taiwan and wanted to buy 2 small aquarium to bring to Norway. It is much cheaper to buy there and I have additional luggage allowance to bring.
I tried to Google to check if anyone has done that but not much info so I just want to share what I have done to bring them.
First picture is the larger aquarium with dimension about 45x25x35cm, and 2nd picture is the smaller aquarium 35x20x25cm. I got the box from Carrefour which fit nicely with small space at the side for some foam/sponge as safety cushion. Then I tape them and make a small handle with tape in picture 3.
I was thinking to check in but I don't trust the airline baggage handling (end up 2 of my check-in luggage were damaged) so I hand carry both with my son's help from Taiwan to Norway and happily open it and found no damage.

I’ve only shipped via shippers, not on my plane ride. Good work!
Risky for sure. Stuff the inside clothes. It wouldn’t do much but it will save you some luggage space.
