I’m not sure how to fix my reel, any help would be nice.
So I found this reel in my attic in pretty good condition, the problem is the bail won't fully reset, if anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great, the reel is a Byron fish control 2-FC 1000.

You should always reset the bail manually.

Try finding a bail spring that fits! Also you should not reel it in with the bail open unless it is a automatic bail, always reset the bail manually

Seriously, one of the most important steps in fishing (for me) with spinning gear is to manually close your bail after casting, then make sure the line is taught, then start your retrieve! This step has saved me so much time fixing wind knots and catching line loops in my reel. Let alone the cost saving of replacing line after birds nests developed.
