Catching freshly planted Rainbow Trout in Clearwater Lake, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Triangle Fly Fishers partners with the Chapel Hill – Carrboro YMCA to stock the lake for fishing during the winter months. 900 pounds were stocked at the end of October and another 400 pounds were stocked on January 7th. Catch and Release fly fishing only from November to April.
The first fish were 2 to 3+ pounds. I've included my largest of these in the comments. 3.21 pounds.
