My plants are dying and I’ve only had them for 2 days! After scrolling on the subreddit, I assume it’s because I don’t always have my light on as I turn it off at night. I have added nutrition capsules (added photo) but still the are going brown and rotten. I have aqua soil as the base layer and just plain old gravel on the top. My filter is a bit dodgy but I have bought a new one and it is coming soon. Please help I don’t know what to do

Light is maximum 6 hours a day. Plants need light off. Otherwise you are going to end up with an algae tank.
The blurry tank water can be because of a bacterial bloom or because you didn’t wash the gravel- either way it should sort itself out in a few days.
As for the plants- it’s normal. They are amphibian and grow near river banks.During summers they grow outside of water and during monsoons inside of it based on water level. Farms like to grow them outside of water because they grow a lot faster that way.
When you do add them to water they need to shed their old leaves and grow new different ones underwater.it should take 2 weeks or so and you should see new growth after they have shedded their old leaves.
