I recently got a 55g tank and its my first big tank so im quite excited to stock it i just want to make sure i dont risk overstocking or getting fish that wont be compatible. I currently have 8 peppered corys and i was thinking of stocking the tank with possibly
a school of gold lazser corys
a school of panda corys
kuli loaches
congo tetras
glowlight tetras
black neon tetras
and either pearl gourami or angel fish, ive always wanted angel fish but i dont think if theyre too territorial for the tetras?
what do you guys recommend? is this overstocked? should i try something different? angel fish or no angel fish?
also i know the aquascaping is not great its my first tank over 5g and the rocks on the wood have been removed it was just to weigh down the wood temporarily

It’s exciting when you have a big tank and want to put a whole bunch of different fish but I found I prefer sticking to fewer species and giving them bigger shoals to hang out with. 8 peppered cories is a good number but why not 25 peppered Cories instead of 3 smaller schools of different species? In the wild there are dozens if not hundreds of individuals within a shoal
If you’ve always wanted angels, get the centerpiece you really want and pick larger tetras that won’t fit in their mouths. Angelfish are pretty chill until they’re actively breeding and defending eggs/fry
