Aquariums: 3d printed light mounts in a good spot?

I 3d printed some little hangers for lights of this style. Works good but I have it as far forward as I can and there’s a bit of dead zone near the top front as shown in the first picture- fish are dark. But it reaches the floor just fine. Do you guys make it a mission to avoid that? Or is that just kinda a little quirk I have to deal with.

It is a hexagon so it’s kind of tricky
