I’ve got a 20 gal tank with 2 small dojo loaches 3 otos and a long finned pleco. I’d like to add some kind of schooling fish but I don’t want an overstocked tank. I’m interested in adding either lampeye killifish or threadfin rainbow fish. I’ve got more plants on the way and patiently waiting for the ones I have to grow lol so it will be more planted eventually.

Assuming the pleco is a bristlenose both would work, but I would be concerned about the dojo loaches long term. Fine a grow out tank but they can get quite large and chunky, a 20 will be too small.
I like to use [this stocking calculator](https://aqadvisor.com/) I believe it calculates based on the full size of the fish.
