This is in CAD (480 USD) I’m looking for a kayak fish finder with side scan but I’m just unsure if I should wait for a better deal. Let me know your thoughts

Forgot to add that they also have the MEGA version for 800 instead of 1060. Is there that big of a difference between regular and mega.

Following, was leaning towards the Helix 5, but sidescan would be nice

For $899 you can get a Garmin 93sv with the gt-54 transducer.
-9 inch
-Touchscreen
-Livescope capable
-Preloaded with navionics maps
-Has down and side image
The Garmin is easier to use, has better traditional, is 90% of the way there to mega down and side anyhow, and has a quick release bracket to take the whole thing off when you stow the boat.
Garmin’s customer service is also much better. Humminbird’s is historically horrific. They have not gotten better in the past few years either.

I almost got this but ended up going with the Garmin striker Clearview 4-in model for like 200 bucks. I’m sure side imaging is useful, but if you’re coming from not having a fish finder at all you’ll see a huge gain from just that minimal investment.
I’m also in a kayak for what it’s worth. I’m in the Old Town autopilot so it does have a motor but it’s pretty slow.

Keep in mind that this doesn’t have the Mega transducer that Humminbird is known for, and isn’t networking compatible if you want it to do something like control your trolling motor. This is a generation of fish finders they are phasing out, and they don’t have touchscreen.
