I got him from a very nice fish store where he was in his own 5 gallon tank along with all their betta. I thought he was vibrant when I got him so maybe I just got him young? I thought they were only pale when kept in big chain pet store cups. Either way I'm excited to see all this color and have no clue if he'll keep going!

Bettas tend to change color as time goes by/as they age. He’s a beautiful color.
