For backstory I got my first aquarium since I was a child over the weekend and have been doing what I can to make sure my squad (1 betta, 2 corys) are all happy. I have been looking into giving Swim (the betta) this bed thing, but im not sure if they're actually safe or if they use them or not. He likes hanging out with my Corys on the bottom of the tank but right now he's been sleeping on a silk leaf or in the grass and I kind of pity him for it. Are these a solid investment or should I just let him continue sleeping in his plants?

I’ve had one for about 2 days and I’ve seen my betta check it out and stay inside for a couple minutes multiple times, but before placing in the tank it is important that you go through the inside and out of the hammock checking for any sharp edges that can be easily removed with your finger, the edges can cut your bettas fins

Corys are schooling fish so they need a group of 5-6 is what I hear a lot in this Reddit

  3. My betta adores it. He sleeps there and I’ve trained him to eat there too so he swims in when I open his lid.

Benefit for me is when feeding there is it will catch anything that sinks so he’ll find it later when he goes to sleep.

I have used this one for over a year with no issues: [https://a.co/d/07WGrobS](https://a.co/d/07WGrobS) as always, monitor your betta closely as it is introduced to new things incase it explores too good and gets stuck lol

I have one placed so that the hole is facing the tank wall, that way she can rest on it. The other one is with the hole facing the surface so she can hide in it 🙂

My guy likes to recline on his rock and his plants. I’ve also seen him laying on the sand. I prefer a natural appearance in my aquarium. Good luck 👍

I have this exact one and my betta doesn’t use it, but he’s a dumbo half moon with giant fins so he has to kind of cram himself inside. He prefers his leaf hammock near the surface or a perch that looks like a couch that I got off Etsy

If you have a 3d printer, or a friend with a 3d printer, save yourself the money and print it. You can spend as much on one betta bed as you can spend on a whole role of plastic

  8. My betta loves his! He naps and chills in it, it’s like a room of his own. It acts as a bit of a nursery for my frogbit, too — it helps keep them from getting caught in the filter current.

Mine loves it but I did take 220 sandpaper over some of the sharp bits

Mine doesn’t joy his but he doesn’t really enjoy any bed item he prefers the thermometer 🥲 I’ve had one for maybe 7 months though and it seems safe. I havnt noticed any deterioration or anything. When I got it there were a couple sharp edges that I sanded down. It also gets caught in my filter a lot so if you have an hob filter you’ll want some way to keep it away from the filter. It worked well in my tank that has a sponge filter though.

I have one and it never stays floating. There is a tiny hole somewhere and it fills with water.

My betta tucks himself to sleep in his hammock every night! It’s so cute. I added. a small bit of moss to the inside bottom.

Personally my boy Winter wasn’t too excited or cared too much for it, he would go in occasionally but thats it lol

  14. I had a tube that was similar, betta got stuck and almost died. Make sure the holes are small and no sharp plastic in case they do get stuck. Never thought it would be me till it was.

I didn’t like mine. It was ok at first – my Betta went in it only once. When I took it out to clean it, the mesh part crumbled. I’d only had it about a month.

I have a tube shaped one and my betta hangs out in it a lot. he also likes sitting in the crocodile skull at the bottom of the tank
