  1. Mine stay in the tank, no reason to take them out.

Just vacuum around them and shoo them out of the way if they get too curious about the python.

I keep their tubs they come home in for the times I have to CLEAN their tanks, but I usually just keep them in their tanks and clean around them

Keep him in the tank, he loves when I clean bcz he’s so curious and always right by my hand

  4. When I was moving my current tank off the floor onto a stand, I had to remove about 70-80% of the water to lift it.

She stayed in a glass cup, glaring angerly.

  5. I never remove them! They love when I clean! My Phoebe likes to swim around my fingers and Sweet Pea likes to supervise by watching the junk in the syphon! 😂

  6. A bowl is mine’s jail. Thankfully he’s only had to go in it once. It’s at least flatter than most bowls, so hopefully the issues with distortion arent as prominent; he was only in there for half an hour anyways

I never used live plants, & my Betta, always stays in the aquarium, when I do a monthly water change, I also have a betta log, which has a real plant, that he loves

  8. I used to keep her in a mug with a scoop of tank water when I needed to clean LMAO that was when I first got her. I got a small 1/2 gal or 1gal square tank to put her in if I ever need to get her out of the way. It also comes in handy as an emergency/hospital/temporary tank when needed

  9. I’m glad that the term “fish jail” is universal.

My little guy doesn’t go to jail often, but I don’t trust him around the algae scraping razor. Normally the magnet or brush are fine, but if I have to get the razor out I have a “Kritter Keeper” type of box that I put him in that holds about a gallon and a half of water.

He doesn’t know how good he has it, my previous betta’s jail was a glass jar that was way smaller.

People are gonna say keep him in the tank. I think it’s personal preference. Whatever you feel is best for your betta, go for it. I’ve done both where I take out or leave my betta in the tank. It kind of depends on the tank I’m working on.

I take mine out when I need to use the scraper coz my girl tries to attack EVERYTHING and I don’t need her hurting herself :/

I use my large glass water pitcher, holds 3 liters
