Getting back into fishing since I busted my back at work. Can't go a day without throwing it out now. BFS sounded appealing, as did light spinning.
Grabbed the histar aurora air light for 42 bucks. Have a mavllos delicacy casting rod on the way. I have my old light shakespeare spinning reel and a leydun usopp 8 piece travel spinning rod.
Going to try ned rigging, and a variety of hard baits. I also have some 1/8 Oz drop shot rigs. Fishing around Chicagoland up the west coast of Michigan. Everything you see here is under 10g. Anything else I should grab, or am I about ready to roll?

Daiwa does not sell braid on Aliexpress. They are all fake, but not that bad. It’s a generic medium quality braid from China.
(The original J-Braid Grand itself is not a good braid either, because it’s much thicker than marketed. Get the original Daiwa JBraid Expedition Coated Made in Japan from a trustworthy seller.)
I’d run a flourcarbon leader. Have some line stretch when Ned rigging and drop shotting seems to be pretty important.
