I’m from Europe going to Cali at the end of the month, what are the laws around angling there? Do you need a permit to fish waterways like rivers/aquaducts or can I just rock up and fish?

Nice fish. But holding them by the gillplate isnt very good for them and raising them above your head leaves alot of height for them to drop from. Just crouch and hold your hand underneath em.
