He swims all around the tank all day, occasionally hides but loves to zip around. Is this normal? I’ve only had him a couple days.
My first betta was as sick so he always sat up top and that’s it so I’m not used to seeing a fish swim all day? Is this normal? Is he okay?

5 gallons, heated to 79.5, I do plan on adding a couple real plants eventually (my petco only had nasty looking ones), almond leaf in tank & baffle on water filter.
Seems very normal to me! All of my bettas when I first got them did the same thing, whenever I’m around they got super zoomy, I was definitely just “ the weird pink thing that feeds me” to them, only wanted me for the food!

Seems normal just bored add real plants 🌱 in the tank it’s very easy like anything Anubias and Java fern and bacopa and amazon sword just super glue gel them to rocks or wood
He’s just checkin out his home
He’s happy my new betta is the same
