So, this is sora.

Last post some people gave me suggestions and I'm really thankful for everyoned help.

Sora used to be my spoiled cousin's fish. he kept Sora in this jar which you can see in the video (It's VERY small) .

Sora is in a bigger bucket right now until the new fish tank is here, it sadly won't be fully cycled but it is gonna have the water conditioned and I will have natural plants (NOT PLASTIC) done soon too

I am also getting small shrimp with it

For the mean time: does Soras condition look fine to you? Apart from the fact that it looks sad of course because I am treating it

Also, is Sora a male? From what I can see Im guessing it's a male? And what type of fighter fish is it?

He’s this is a male. And the condition surprisingly looks all good. He looks like a half moon betta

  2. Another thing to watch for is finrot. Mine did really well for first few weeks but finrot has finally started so have a hospital tank while cycle hopefully finishes in main tank

  3. Sora looks really good and he’s beautiful despite his previous living conditions. Please make sure you do your research on caring for a betta fish if you’ve never had one. Not cycling the tank isn’t optimal, but again, just be sure to do your research on how to do it successfully.

Best of luck! He’s lucky he has you to give him a proper life. Bettas are very smart, he’ll come to recognize you, get used to your schedule, and will greet you when he sees you. Enjoy! And if you have any questions, always feel free to come here and ask.

Careful with the shrimp. My betta absolutely obliterated mine.

I’ve seen them kept together successfully plenty of times before but you never really know. Depends on tank size and individual betta. I wouldn’t have any tank mates in a tank under 10 gallons, and also lots of plants and stuff to hide.

  5. Sora looks great! I would be careful with fish in cycle though. If you have a friend who can give you a piece of tank media from an established tank that will speed things up.
