New PNW angler! Looking for tips on where to go and roasts of my new tackle box.

Hi there. Portland area and have fished mostly as a way younger self in the Midwest. I had some tax refund money and wanted to get enough fishing gear for me and the wife to be able to say fuck yeah to go fishing most anywhere in the PNW. So I got a variety of lures and hooks and weights and swivels etc. I’d love any tips and tricks and convo about fishing here. It’s a totally different game for me.

I have only fished here once. 2 weeks ago. Only my 2nd time using a reel like we got and using spinning lures.

How fast should I be reeling in? Any videos on tying knots that might help?
