This is Cosmo- originally Pearl. He was bought as a group of 4 females to be a sorority from pets at home. All 4 turned out to be males and this poor guy at the time was the one being bullied horribly. He’s ended up in my communal tank because I needed to separate him asap and in there he has stayed ever since, completely at ease with my 3 platys and corys in a 60l tank. I’ve learned a lot since then about fish keeping, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of betta he is? He’s seems very happy and healthy, I did worry about clamping as he grew but it turns out it’s just his fin shape (but if anyone spots anything I haven’t let me know)😅 I’m very fond of him. Thank you!

Ooo purple is a rare colour in bettas!
What a cutie! So gorgeous. Do you have any pics of him flaring? It’d be easier to identify the fin type (though I’m sure there are people here knowledgeable enough that they could identify it from these pics alone). I’m no expert, but I *think* it’s either a halfmoon or a rosetail.
I used to have a little boy with similar colors! He was such a sweet heart, even when he grew into an old man. I miss this boy!
