Is this rod okay to fish with? I just noticed this after my last outing. This female ferrule is on the 3rd piece / tip section of the rod.

I mean it’s not going to be repairable really so you either fish it or get a replacement section. For the record I have a cheap redington 5wt that has the similar thing going on for the last 5 years and it’s fine today, but that doesn’t mean you’re rod will be fine.

Mine is like this too, I think I pushed it on too hard?? Anyways, fishes fine

Looks to be cracked apoxy. Should be fine to fish. The wraps and the blank look fine. The repair on this is super easy too.

I lightly sanded one of my rods and then used clear finger nail polish over it. It’s held up for years now. It’s just cracked finish (at least in this picture).

I would send it to winston asap. Can’t really see if it’s cracked underneath
