so my betta is currently in a hospital tank for fin rot, and i've been using API fin and body cure and doing 25% water changes every day. I woke up this morning and his tank was super foamy. it doesnt smell like anything expect for how his tank normally smells and a few hours later his tank started to get really foamy again. what do i do? i feel like such a bad owner atm and im really lost.
edit: should i remove the foam? I removed it this morning but debating if I should do that again.

The medication or high ammonia can cause foaming. Yes, remove it. And if the cause is ammonia, water change of course.
This is broken down protein. Often from very high decaying material (eg, rotten algae) or a lack of established nitrate. I would test the parameters and do a 30-50% water change.
That is the horniest Betta I have ever seen.
Remove your fish immediately. Put him in fresh, clean dechlorinated water that is as close as possible to the parameters of your tank water (Temperature & pH mainly).
Until you test the tank and determine the cause of the foaming.
THE HEATER NEEDS TO GO FURTHER INTO THE WATER. CHECK THE MINIMUM WATER LINE
Filling your tank all the way will help with that too

I have a Betta myself in a 30 Gallon so I’m experienced in this species.
OP you need to test the water parameters for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH. The foam strongly indicates the water is toxic in this hospital tank and just removing the foam isn’t enough, you need to know the water quality.
The fish has fin rot which 9/10 times down to water quality issues. Please tell us about the tank he came from too including whether it has been nitrogen cycled and the water parameters for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH.
