New Ollies Haul.
Got me some new baits that got my attention and would love to try also that mini rebel Popper is the cutest thing Iāve ever seen (the light baits are for other combos) still couldnāt resist to how cute is
This baitcaster caught my attention and the fact that the reel handle its on the left seal the deal for me. The thing is im not 100% sure how to set it up so i turn to you, my fellow anglers. I would like to know how would you setup this combo.

Might help for setup suggestions if you clarified your goals and usage intentions. Most of the lures you picked up are often pretty light for use on a baitcaster, unless that’s a BFS reel, which I doubt.
12 lb monofilament. It doesn’t need much else. I would then use it to wacky and Texas Rig my way across bass beds. I would also use a lure with some weight for it, till I get a feel for how the tension wants to behave.
Because of the slower gear ration on the reel and it being a medium action, I would run 10-12 pb mono or floro and use it for lighter jigs (1/4-1/2 oz), weightless senkos, texas rigs, and some lighter crank baits that dont run mutch deeper than 3-5 feet. The slower retrieve will give more torque for the crankbaits and will allow you to fish the other rigs mentioned super slow and keep bottom contact mutch easier, Giving the bass more time to look at your lure when there feeling skidish or lethargic.
I have the same combo that I use for kayak fishing. I put 20lb braid and a flouro leader on it and use it for everything from search baits, to topwater to BFS.
The first thing I would do is cut that zip tie off š
10-12 moss green mono, sufix elite or advance if your fishing for largemouth.
Or a backing with 12lb fluoro (or straight fluoro) if youāre fishing for small mouth/trout.
