Just picked up a spool for trout on my UL and pretty excited to give it a go. Super thin and seems nice and strong. Curious if anyone has experience with it. Might not even need a leader on this braid it's so thin

I’ve never seen 5 lb braid before. I imagine it feels like casting hair

Ordered some with my new Phenix rod. Like the other person said, it felt like casting hair and I was able to bomb small lures a lot further than I had in the past.
Super fricken hard to tie (especially in a boat) since it’s so small.
But caught several nice trout without issue!

I tried the 2lb and it was just too light. I could barely see it to tie a knot.
5 sounds better 😂

I use their hydra 8x braid for inshore fishing. Have caught 40+ pound fish on 15 pound test braid. Holds up well. A tad thicker than some other braids but I like how it is not coated and its cheap. Yozuri braid still the goat for performance vs cost metrics
